For anonymous guest users, we collect zero personal identifiers — no real names, no phone numbers, no email addresses. When you create a registered account, we only collect a username and password for authentication purposes. Optional profile fields such as age range, country, gender, education, and profession are entirely voluntary and shown only on your public profile. We respect your right to remain unknown.
Security Logs
To prevent abuse, ban evasion, and maintain room integrity, our system temporarily logs IP addresses and browser fingerprints. This information is encrypted, anonymized, and automatically purged after 30 days of inactivity, unless involved in an active security investigation. Rate-limiting data is stored transiently and never linked to personal identities.
Encryption & Storage
All communication between your client and our servers is secured with TLS 1.3 encryption. Public room messages are ephemeral and removed from active memory after the session ends. Private messages between registered users are encrypted in transit and permanently deleted when a registered account is removed. Game state data — including match history and leaderboard scores — is stored only for registered accounts.
Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to any third parties. We use infrastructure providers solely to maintain uptime, perform bot defense, and protect against DDoS threats. Country flag assets are loaded from a CDN (flagcdn.com) without passing any user data. No advertising networks or tracking pixels are embedded on the platform.
Your Control
You maintain full control over your data. Registered users can delete their account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your profile, messages, game history, XP data, and all associated session information are immediately queued for permanent removal from our active servers. Anonymous guests leave no persistent trace after their session ends.
Profile & Game Data
Registered accounts accumulate profile data including XP, level, active frames, friends list, and game match history. This data is stored securely and used solely to enhance your platform experience — it is never shared with third parties. The 2048 Daily Challenge leaderboard displays public usernames only, with no personally identifiable information.
Global Compliance
